Guest guest
I just want to give a 'go carefully' if you start doing wheat juice. I had a pretty severe allergic reaction to it, so go slowly. I don't use it at all. Dr. Doug Graham (I believe I've referenced him before on this group, if not, let me know if you need more info) has stated a few times that if we can't eat something in it's raw form, perhaps we should consider it wasn't meant for us to eat. (For instance, we wouldn't go out and eat our lawns, LOL). So I think juicing something like kale, spinach, celery, etc., for green juice is probably optiimal for us (since these are all foods we can eat in their natural state). I know a lot of folks testify to an energy surge after having wheat grass, but the same thing happens with caffeine, so I wonder if the surge is just our body trying to get rid of whatever goes into it with the wheat grass. Pure speculation on my part here, just wondering. Peace, Valerie johnd <john wrote: if I juice dark green kale does it have the same health benefits of wheat grass? People say wheat grass is so great, is it because it has chlorophil or is green? I'm curious if all dark green juice is similar or if wheat grass is somehow unique. What about regular grass from my lawn? If I can tolerate the taste is it the same?
Guest guest
May I suggest reading Ann Wigmore's collection of books on Wheat Grass and as much research as possible for yourself. The use of Wheat Grass is as individual as fingerprints. I would certainly hope that no one is sowing wheatberries in their lawns. Grass in your lawn is just what you said, regular grass and I think you'd become really sick from chemicals if you were to juice the grass from your lawn.
