Guest guest
I just keep them in the refrigerator On Dec 17, 2004, at 5:48 PM, wannaeatmoreraw wrote: > > > > What is the best way to store my freshly sprouted sprouts? > > Thanks so much! > > Shelley > > > >
Guest guest
I treat them like I do any other produce. I blot off extra moisture with paper towels or in the salad spinner and put in those green plastic vegetable bags, then store in refrigerator. Produce lasts much longer that way. Many sprouts will need to be used rather quickly as they are not meant for long storage times. Alfalfa sprouts store better if you don't separate them until ready to use. Sunflower and pumpkin seeds need to be used fairly quickly. I'm still experimenting with others. Diana of Dewberry Hill What is the best way to store my freshly sprouted sprouts? Thanks so much! Guest guest
Shelley, Diana's suggestion is terrific. The other thing I do, before I put them in the plastic bag though, is to leave some moisture on them, wrap them in a paper towel, and then put them in the plastic bag, they will stay even fresher longer. But the tip is they or the paper towel needs to be misted. Sasha ---- rawfood 12/18/04 13:01:53 rawfood Re: [Raw Food] A little OT Re: Sprouts I treat them like I do any other produce.
