Guest guest
Fellow raw food friends, As a raw newbie (one month), I wonder what could be causing my (sometimes) sinus problems? I am around dust and dogs but no more stress than anyone else. Candida has been a problem until going raw a month ago (now well balanced veggies, fruits, seeds, nuts). I think that a normal healthy person should be able to be around dust and dogs. I don't sleep with them, LOL! And I eat fruit on this diet, but not to excess... and think since I don't eat starchy foods anymore that the fruit sugar in moderation should be healthy. The last time I had cooked foods, I felt awful, and I used to sit mid morning and fall asleep in my chair. This raw diet, well balanced seems to make me feel much better. The one thing that I am still using is kefired organic goats milk because I think it has so many probiotics that I desperately need, especially for my IBS/ stricture problem. I do " go " daily, but need an herblax boost with apple juice, clay and psyllium every few days to clear out some problem area(s?) in there :+0 didn't mean to be so graphic. Hoping the raw diet will help heal this. Know I need to exercise more and use the gravity inverter too. I tend to think a person is allergic to outside stimuli because of poisons in their bodies reacting to what would otherwise not be a problem (dust, dander etc.) Questions: I've done lots of cleansing previously to going all raw...but unless I'm allergic to the kefir, then perhaps I'm still detoxing? Do you think I should keep using the kefir for a while and see if the " sometimes " sinus drainage clears up...then if it doesn't, drop the kefir for a while and see? Blessings, Diana of DH Meet the all-new My – Try it today!
Guest guest
There are folks who have been raw for years that will still have cleansing times, and since you've only been raw one month, this is not unusual. If it does not clear up, you could try stopping the kefir for a while and see if that makes a difference. But if you drop the kefir, don't change anything else for a few days while you do that, or you won't know for sure if the kefir was contributing to the problem. Guest guest
Yikes. I think any milk would GIVE me IBS. Goat, organic or not. I could not handle it, for sure. Guest guest
Diana, I tried organic goat's milk several times. I just can't take the smell or the taste, and no longer can even get it down. It is too bad, because I bought a huge supply of it. I know it is supposed to be very good for you, but is there a way to disguise it totally in order to make it palatable? Sasha ---- rawfood 12/22/04 13:59:00 rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Detox or Allergies?
