Guest guest
Question from Lane: Re: [Raw Food] High fruit/low fat vs. High fat/low fruit I wonder about this idea of going out in the sun. Because I have developed skin cancer, I have been told to stay out of the sun. Could some of you more experienced folks enlighten me. Thanks , Lane Karen sez: I was a lab tech and worked for doctors. One told me that Preparation H with its Cod Liver Oil (vitamin A) is an effective treatment for skin cancers. Now, I'm an alternative/complementary health care researcher. Fish Oil -- read more about that below. As far as the sun and cancer -- In proper amounts, sitting in the sun for one hour a day -- with NO GLASSES on, can reverse cancer. In a small study of about 6 or 7 people, the only one who did not get better was the one who would not take off the prescription lenses. Gotta get that UNFILTERED sunlight into the eyes!!! I think I read that in Light: Medicine of the Future by Jacob Liberman I can tell you zillions of ways to prevent and reverse cancer. Drinking ORME-rich MiraculeWater (see sig file) is just one of the ways that might help the body repair itself. Then there is Vitamin B17 or laetrile. From another email group: <http://www.1cure4cancer.com/truth.htm>http://www.1cure4cancer.com/truth.htm My source provided a video which I have uploaded for those interested to look at it further: <http://www.rife.de/download/wwc.ram>http://www.rife.de/download/wwc.ram (55:02 min.) I will be removing the video from my server in about a week so look now if you are interested. End quote -- try now, because its been about week since I read that message. Once again, we've been lied to by the mainstream medical. I think if we stay out of the sun, we are actually, on the whole, much sicker. And WHO benefits from this? I know this is a list about raw food -- but does anyone consider eating raw meat, fish, etc.? Maybe a raw fruit and veggie diet is not optimal for everyone? Here's what Dr. Mercola says about cancer and the sun. http://www.mercola.com/2004/aug/4/sunshine_cancer.htm Dr. Mercola's Comment: Can sun exposure cause skin cancer? Absolutely. However, appropriate <http://www.mercola.com/2002/apr/3/sun_prevents_cancer.htm>sunlight actually prevents cancer. Exposure to the sun provides many benefits such as promoting the <http://www.mercola.com/2002/feb/23/vitamin_d.htm>formation of vitamin D. Most people are deficient in vitamin D, but if you decide to use vitamin D you will want to be very careful about <http://www.mercola.com/2002/feb/23/vitamin_d_deficiency.htm>testing your levels as it is easy to overdose. We also have strong evidence that <http://www.mercola.com/2000/may/28/sunlight_m_s.htm>sunlight protects against MS and <http://www.mercola.com/2002/apr/3/sun_prevents_cancer.htm>breast cancer. The key to proper sun exposure is to never burn. Although the American Academy of Dermatology will have you bathing in sunscreen, it is one of the LAST things you want to put on your body. It is a toxic chemical that can cause problems in your system. But even if it didn't contribute to disease, the central issue is that it <http://www.mercola.com/1998/archive/sunscreens_may_not_prevent_melanoma.htm>doe\ sn't even work. A British dermatologist published an article, which showed <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=\ 11966729 & dopt=Abstract>no clear indication that sunscreens worked. <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=\ 11744396 & dopt=Abstract>Another study in the Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology found the same thing. A far more logical solution would be to <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=\ 11899132 & dopt=Abstract>use clothing to protect you against the sun. So what is the cause of skin cancer and the deadly melanoma? The true cause is the worsening <http://www.mercola.com/2003/aug/2/sunscreen_cancer.htm>omega-3:6 ratios, not sunscreens. In 2001, the National Academy of Sciences published a comprehensive review showing that the omega-3:6 ratio was the key to preventing skin cancer development. Right now most Americans are eating far too many omega-6 fats and far too little omega-3. An Australian study showed a 40 percent reduction in melanoma for those who were eating fish, which is rich in omega-3. And this was without any attention to lowering omega-6 fats. This is one of the reasons why I highly recommend <http://www.mercola.com/article/omega3.htm>routine consumption of fish oil as a safe and effective way of increasing the omega-3 in your diet and improving your health. Fish oil contains high levels of the best omega-3 fats--those with the EPA and DHA fatty acids--and, as it is in pure form, does not pose the mercury risk of fresh fish. Don't Just Filter Your Water! Thanks , Lane I may be a bit biased, being an avid Naturist and seeing how much natural sunlight has helped my skin but I suggest you first read the book: " The Healing Sun " by Richard Hobday. It's the equivilent of reading " Fast Food Nation " if you determined to find motivation to change your diet. It's a rite of passage Also, for some it's humorous reading, for some lifesaving reading, but find how close you are to an established resort. http://www.aanr.com/nude_recreation_clubs.shtml -- Bill Schoolcraft PO Box 210076 San Francisco,CA 94121 United States of America http://billschoolcraft.com " We can find no wealth above a healthy body and a happy heart.
