Guest guest
Valerie, If you are offended that this email was sent to you privately, why would you post it on the public board for the rest us? My guess is that the author sent the email hoping you'd take the bait and post here in the group for all to see. You are actually helping this person. There is no way they could have emailed over 1000 members so you've saved him or her a great deal of time. There is a reason moderators don't approve messages like this. You could have easily spoke highly of the group owner and shared his positive aspects without reposting this negativity which is unproductive for the group. Derrick Send holiday email and support a worthy cause. Do good.
Guest guest
Derrick, I rec'd the message in my private email as well even though I have selected " no email " as a preference. So this person obviously does have a way to email other members of the group. Thank you to Valerie for alerting me as to what this was all about. terry rawfood , Derrick <vegiebowl> wrote: > Valerie, > > If you are offended that this email was sent to you privately, why would you post it on the public board for the rest us? Guest guest
Hi, Derrick, I understand your concern, and I concur, you are right that I should not have included the email from the other person. I did not think that through completely before posting. I think I reacted too quickly, mainly because I have experienced someone doing a similar thing that came close to destroying what had been a fairly healthy group in another area, and I did not want to see that happen here. If you look at all my other posts, you will see that I have never brought anything like this or indeed, any other negative thing to this board. I have enjoyed the give and take, and hope to continue to do so. I just was very concerned that Roger Haeske was being maligned by someone who apparently meant to do him and this board harm, and I did not think it was doing him justice. This is part of the difficult aspect of email groups; most of us really don't know each other, and a certain amount of trust has to be practiced among the participants. It can be a pretty fragile thing. As I've said in other emails, we need to give each other the benefit of the doubt as much as possible. Thanks for the input on my post; I will keep that in mind should another such incident occur. Blessings, Valerie Derrick <vegiebowl wrote: Valerie, If you are offended that this email was sent to you privately, why would you post it on the public board for the rest us? Guest guest
Group messages are public. This means anyone who posts on the message board can be emailed privately by someone viewing the messages unless their email addy is private. rawfood , " terry " <levamssg> wrote: > > > Derrick, > I rec'd the message in my private email as well even though I have > selected " no email " as a preference.
