Guest guest
do you guys as a group think it is appropriate to post advertisments here? I consider this Spam. Guest guest
I don't recall what this group's policy is; personally I have no problem with someone mentioning their product once or twice, but this particular item has been promoted repeatedly in a short period of time, and it's feeling uncomfortable to me. He is now also posting the same information in other groups, so I get these from other sources as well. Bryan, maybe time to take a breather? Maybe just post something about your publication once every few weeks, rather than so frequently? To be honest, I've become disinclined to purchase this simply by the sheer amount of broadcasting of the information. Don't mean to be rude; you may not be aware how this kind of posting can come across after a while. Guest guest
I don't think posting a link to a new raw food book is spam. Not for this group. But I did mention to Brian that 3 times in a short period is pushing it. He won't be able to do it again unless there are major changes to his website. I invited him to post the link in our link section and to participate more in the raw food group discussions. Repeated posts whose main purpose is to display website links, even if raw, is not acceptable. Many of our members have raw food products and websites to promote. If they participate in the discussions (like many do) and then put a link after their name that seems ok to me. But I try to keep the blantent promotional posts to a minimum. Guest guest
I don't consider this specific post to be spam. it's a useful resource, this is a raw food listserv. Guest guest
At Tue, 4 Jan 2005 it looks like Rawist composed: > anything about anything raw is fine to me. what else is this forum > for? but to spread the word of raw eating in any way possible. being > a raw food eater is what we have in common, but we're much more than > that. i'd like to see anything discussed here as long as the author > adheres to the only requirement for membership is a desire to be a > raw vegan. Guest guest
An addict is an addict is an addict, whether it's food, sex, drugs, gambling, etc. I think their are a lot of food addicts out there but few who want to do anything about their problem. I know I'm a recovering addict from the SAD. That's what I like about NA, you only have to be powerless over your addiction, they don't even say drugs in the first step. I went to many NA meetings, you were so entertaining. Rich rawfood , Bill Schoolcraft <bill@b...> wrote: > Nah, I prefer NA jargon
Guest guest
I belong to another , (scrabble in this case) and they have a policy,.. You can only plug a product once a month. That works pretty well. Lane - Valerie Mills Daly rawfood Tuesday, January 04, 2005 2:25 PM Re: [Raw Food] NEW RAW RECIPE BOOK YOU WILL LOVE!
