Guest guest
I was curious if anyone in the group prior to converting to the raw food way of life had/has MS. My uncle has MS and I have just sent him some info about the benefits of living raw. I really think it could make a significant difference to his condition. Just wanting to see if anyone has a testimonial or anything about this. Also, I am just 3 days raw......a newbie.....but have battled depression for years and take antidepressants and even a stimulant for resistant depression. Wanting to hear from anyone who had these same struggles and how raw food eating improved their condition. I am really amazed at how full and satified I feel on such little amounts of foods compared to the huge amounts I seemed to be taking in daily from the " bad foods " and drive thru meals. So far so good!! Thanks for any replys in advance............. Namaste Melissa
Guest guest
I've heard it said that a raw food diet can cure anything. There's a lot of good information about it on websites, etc., I believe. I've been diagnosed with depression, but my mental condition has revolved around the food for over a decade. When I'm raw, I'm happy and functional and not depressed, and the opposite when I'm not. But I'm obsessed with eating raw, so that may be a mental problem in itself. Good luck staying raw. I'm happy being satisfied eating small amounts of plant food each day, compared to the huge amounts of " bad foods " I used to eat. Guest guest
Melissa, Raw food doc Gabriel Cousens wrote a book about depression called Depression Free for Life. I haven't read it, but I have read several of his other books and they're all good. You can get it at www.treeoflife.nu or probably cheaper at Amazon. Guest guest
Rich: I wonder if the claim by those websites that " a rawfood diet can cure anything " is actually valid. I have seen written, on this forum and other similar forums, that it isn't the rawfood itself that cures, but rather the absence of " garbage " (that is, non-utilitarian food), that allows the body to cure itself of maladies (which, from all accounts, result from excess " garbage " in the bodily systems.) The main thrust of such a viewpoint appears to be that the " garbage " food impedes the normal functioning of the bodily systems (that is, natural health). An interesting perception to be sure. tev --- Rawist <seconaphim wrote: > I've heard it said that a raw food diet can cure > anything. Guest guest
Sure, the absence of garbage is probably the key and since you have to eat something, the raw food diet is healthy for you.
