Guest guest
That sounds wonderful! Isn't avocado just one of the best foods ever? My lunch was similar. A humonguous delicious salad and some fresh guacamole. My dinner was (deliberately) several ounces of cheese, a whole bag of microwaved popcorn, and a beer. Let me tell you, even a few days on a raw/living foods diet will do enough cleansing that a " dinner " such as I had - which used to be common for me, folks! - can cause a lot of discomfort. Within half an hour of eating, I had a splitting headache and was feeling " off. " Not an experiment I will be repeating anytime soon! Carolyn - lane lynn I just has a lovely dinner. Big fresh lettuce leaves, a lovely cut up zucchini, and an avocado cut into chunks. It was wonderful. Health to all, Lane
Guest guest
I just love what's on my plate for each meal, lettuce, cucumber, bell pepper, orange, tomato, carrot and asparagus. Mmmm, good cracker. Throw in some avocado now and then (I like that website on how to open an avocado, such detail), and I still haven't broken open a pineapple waiting for me. Happy, happy day. I'm so happy eating raw, joy, joy, joy. I'm going to have to re-up on some produce soon. Rich rawfood , " lane lynn " <lanie@p...> wrote: > I just has a lovely dinner. Guest guest
I just went shopping and let me tell you what I bought: avocados, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, grapes, pears, corn, raspberries, strawberries, kiwi, celery, broccoli, bell pepper, and tomato. I don't know why it excites me so to list these things out, I must be knew to raw. Isn't it exciting to be raw, yippee. My mother left some rye crackers out that I've never tried. Serious temptation, but I really need to find out what a year of consecutive raw will bring to my peace of mind. I sniffed one of the crackers though. Anybody ever do that, sniff food you're not going to eat just to relieve the tension of wanting to eat it a little bit? Rich rawfood , " lane lynn " <lanie@p...> wrote: > sounds good Rich. That is a great trial preiod; one year. You'll know for sure if it will work out for you. I mean you'll know you gave it a fair chance. When I first got into this I did a week trial, but it has turned into 6 months. I actually don't feel deprived or like I need to check out any cooked food. I think it is all in the way you look at it. In my mind I just say or think, cooked food is not edible, it is ruined. If I'm really craving something good, I'll eat some celery with almond butter and slices of dates. This usually kills any type of feelings of deprivation. If I'm just hungry and not simply craving something good, I'll put a banana, apple, pear, water, and fozen mango in the blender and have two 16 oz glasses of this. It totally fills me up for a while. I try to make sure I eat plenty of nuts each day, too, as not to deprive myself of fat. If I don't do this, I just don't ever feel satisfied. Guest guest
This particular attempt began a few days before Christmas. So, I'd like to see a full year, namely all of 2005. And yes, I'll at least have given it a fair chance after low these many years of trying. No raw food really kills my feelings of deprivation, but certainly after a meal I feel satisfied and not hungry. I do go to nuts mostly for the emotional relief. Why they supply it, I don't know. Same for avocados. Rich rawfood , John de la Garza <john@j...> wrote: > When did you start your year? 2005? > > That is a great trial preiod; one year. Guest guest
Well let me tell you about my breakfast. Take a couple of handfuls of almonds. (Begone you nut detractors!) and gind them in the blender. Add water. Whirr. Makes delicious beautiful almond milk. Insert banana chunks. Mine are usually frozen, as I just buy bananas a coupla bunches atta time and freeze them in chunkd before they go too ripe. Add berries. pulse and blend. Yum. Guest guest
- Rawist [snip] Anybody ever do that, sniff food you're not going to eat just to relieve the tension of wanting to eat it a little bit? Rich Getting something that close to my mouth would just result in me eating it. :-D Too tempting, and I'm pretty weak when it comes to food. Carolyn (C2, as there is already another Carolyn on the list! :::waves:: :-)
Guest guest
I too find it exciting to list what I bought and what I ate. Tonite I had a dinner of two persimmons. Quite tasty and a divergence from my usual routine. So just nuts and fruit today. No veggies or salad. Wow! I'm beginning to look upon cooked food as being deprived of " real food " . Just a little. Oh happy day! Lane - Rawist rawfood Saturday, January 08, 2005 8:35 PM [Raw Food] Re: Happy day.
