Guest guest
It is to me, I have an allergic reaction to it. Whenever I eat fruit with sulpher my throat tightens up, my mouth and throat start to itch and I start to sneeze. _____ Someone sent this to me and I know ya'll can give her an idea.......Thanks, Shari > > > Is sulfur in dried fruits really that bad? Guest guest
Raw fruit is a natural food for us, not sulfur saturated fruit. Many, many years ago, after cleaning up my diet to a more whole-food vegetarian diet, when I tried the bright apricots (with sulfur) I had a reaction in my lungs. My lungs felt like they were drying up and I coughed. My body definately was telling me they were no good! I do not recommend them. They taste artificial too. The ugly dried brown apricots (and other fruits) are more natural and even taste better. If they are too hard for people, then instead of using the sulfered ones, just use the naturally dried ones and soak them in purified water before eating. Guest guest
This person is looking for " scientific " evidence the sulfur is bad, not personal testimonies. She's had enough of those, I guess. We'll keep trying to find some information. Maybe to word it better, what reactions does sulfur cause in the human body? Thanks, Shari
Guest guest
The dictionary says " a colorless, very irritating gas.... " . My personal experience is that sulfur dioxide brings my asthma symptoms back ( I cured myself of Asthma about a year and half ago). I remember that as a child, every time I ate commercial dried fruit I would start wheezing....I never know what that was all about. Guest guest
Thanks Sherre. The definition might be just the thing. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best! Shari
