Guest guest
(Sorry for the short notice on this.) I wanted to know how many of us prefer doing a New Year's Eve party that goes past midnight, and how many prefer instead doing a potluck or something on Saturday or Sunday this weekend? I may host, depending on interest. Please respond ASAP. Thanks, Eric
Guest guest
I've enjoyed the annual New Year's Eve Linda has hosted, even if I haven't stayed around till midnight. It would also be nice to have a New Year's day potluck, to replace those (toxic) family dinners of my previous life (cooked life) I used to attend. I would enjoy BOTH ending the year with raw friends and bringing in the first day of the new year with friends. If I had to choose one, It may be tough for me. I'd probably lean towards the NY Eve potluck, but would go to either (or both!) I anyone else interested in hosting one, so we can have two. Note: a few years ago we often had more than one potluck on any given weekend! Whichever time is chosen, may I suggest a burning bowl ceremony? This is a ceremony where people write down, on a piece of paper, aspects of themselves they wish to overcome. A grill is prepared ahead of time (and you wondered what to do with your old barbeque.) People put their intentions of overcoming those challenges on their papers, into the papers, then file past the grill, dropping their paper into the coals, allowing them to burn, turning them over to the universe and releasing them. It's a great way to set intentions and usher in new habits, etc. It feels great to symbolically release things, this way. Guest guest
I'd prefer a potluck on Saturday or Sunday (the 1st or 2nd). I already have two places to be on New Years! Hope to see everyone this weekend. Paula ericscottfarris <EricScottFarris wrote: (Sorry for the short notice on this.) Guest guest
Thanks to Paula and Jeff. I also did get a separate message from Linda Reeves preferring New Year's Eve. Anyone else care to chime in please?
