Ohhhh yum. If only I had known those huge lovely fruits were for

sale, when you walked past me with them at Victoria's event! Darn!

 

Oh well. Maybe somebody could bring some to my potluck next Saturday?

I'm sure they will sell!

Sorry, Linda. I should have asked you sooner. I looked for you after Victoria's

talk but you were already gone. These cherimoyas are pretty good. I just ate one

and it was sweet. I saw cherimoyas at Whole Food Market selling for $6.99/lb

yesterday. By the way, kale was 99 cents a bunch at Whole Food so I got a couple

of bunches for green smoothie.

 

I'll see if I can get another case next week before the potluck.

These smaller cherimoyas are pretty good, sweet and juicy. The sweetest one

turned out to be a very small one, brix 24. The rest brix 20-23. I have no

reference for cherimoyas but these numbers look good comparing to other sweet

fruit. Some of those bigger ones I got earlier didn't ripen very well. I suspect

that was because they were kept in my garage for a couple of days. This time I

put them by my south window, treating them like my tropical plants. They are

ripening nice and fast. I am eating almost mono meals but it's fine with me.

Sometimes I rather enjoy eating just one type of fruit. When I get tired of them

I can refrigerate or freeze them after they are ripe.
