Guest guest
Hi Shawn I am responding to a very old message of yours about flax oil. Flax seed oil is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids. The oil in flax seed converts to DHA (which is also present in fish oils). DHA is very import to the human brain. "MatriXeno ." <matrixeno wrote: This sounds great and refreshing. Guest guest
It is not good to cook with flax oil because heat ruins the oil. If heated the oil becomes like a trans-fat and is harmful to the body. The dosage is 1 tablespoon per 100 lbs of body weight. Some people make salad dressing with it. I mix it with orange or apple juice. This way I hardly notice it. o _- MatrixenO -_ <matrixeno wrote: "Hi ShawnI am responding to a very old message of yours about flax oil. Guest guest
what about the benefits in a cream/oil/lotion of flax oil? I am in Massage Therapy and like to make my own oils; is the skin a good medium to get the benefits of this oil? -dawn Suzanne De Gregorio <reiki882002 wrote: It is not good to cook with flax oil because heat ruins the oil. Guest guest
I'm not sure about the skin. I have heard sesame oil is good for skin. dawn pattison-rak <skgpeace wrote: what about the benefits in a cream/oil/lotion of flax oil? Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Maybe someone can benefit from this tip: Flax oil stores best in the freezer compartment of the fridg. It does not hurt the quality of the oil, and flax oil can actually spoil pretty fast at refrigerator temperatures. It will still be pourable if you shake it a little bit, for the dosages you want to take. I put mine in the freezer as soon as I get home from purchasing it. Namaste, Janaki
Guest guest
I suppose it's never a good idea to purchase flax oil that's not kept refrigerated in the store, eh? I thought that was kind of strange. Thanks for the tip. Janaki Rose <janaki wrote:Hi Everyone, Maybe someone can benefit from this tip: Flax oil stores best in the freezer compartment of the fridg.
