Guest guest
FYI, The U-district Farmers Market is open. There is not as much produce as later in the growing season, but there are still lots of greens, etc. Anyone have details on other markets in the area? Here are a couple online sources for infrmation, though the dates of operation are not always accurate. http://www.fruitstands.com/states/washingt.htm http://www.localharvest.org/farmers-markets Jeff
Guest guest
Mukilteo Market is open on Thursdays in the Rosehill parking lot. Rosehill is just up the hill from the ferry dock in Mukilteo, or I should say Old Mukilteo. Shari
Guest guest
Here is the most comprehensive information on fresh food sources for the Puget Sound region. It has been updated for 2005. www.pugetsoundfresh.org Farmers markets www.pugetsoundfresh.org/farmers_markets.htm This web site also has a searchable database on specific crops, a list of CSA (community supported agriculture) farms, and other useful information. Some of the information comes in PDF files so it can be printed out and distributed to people without internet access. This information is being made available by a partnership of local county and state government. They are making a significant effort to support access to the local farmers. I'm not saying it is enough support, but it is a whole lot more support than you can find in other regions. Guest guest
Sorry, I forgot to mention it is located just West of Lake City Way, around the corner from the Neighborhood Service Center near the 4 way stop on the same road where you find the post office and the strip mall with QFC and Bartells, just 2 blocks off Lake City Wy. - " Janaki Rose " <janaki <RawSeattle > Monday, May 09, 2005 11:24 AM Re: [RawSeattle] Farmers' Markets > There is the Lake City Farmers Market on Thursdays, I don't know if it has > started yet or not. > Janaki > - > " Jeff Rogers " <jeff > <RawSeattle > > Saturday, May 07, 2005 11:54 AM > [RawSeattle] Farmers' Markets > > > > FYI, > > > > The U-district Farmers Market is open.
