It was around 9:10 - 9:15am. Not a big fan either....

What time did it air?

I'm hoping they'll have a video of it online.

(I'm not a big fan of Katie Couric's, so I'm not surprised at the way she

behaved.)

Thanks,

Judy

Katie Couric's expressions were uncalled for, if not a bit immature....but

how great it was to have a raw food segment on such a popular show. I had no

idea 'Today' was 2 hours long - I thought it had aired yesterday and I missed

it! Here's to Alissa!!

It began at 9:40 and they only gave Alissa 2 minutes, if that long. The

Today Show lasts for 3 hours, from 7 to 10:00. I sat and watched the whole

show.

Boring!

I would love to know how she managed to get on the show. Any idea?

I wrote asking her but she didn't respond.

Well, at least Alissa was able to get the point across, but didn't have a

good response when Katie and Lester tasted her smoothie and cucumber juice.

Nor, did she really get to share much about her book.

Yes, watching TV is not my idea of fun anymore, but I didn't want to miss

seeing Alissa. I figured it would be on later than she planned, but like you

said, at least she was on.

Yes, all of what you said. Of course. What I'd like to know is the

specifics in Alissa's case.

Well... when I was on the show last year (twice)... OK, I was

actually part of the crowd on the " Plaza " , but I was on!

I suspect it has to do with a combination of timing, interest by the

show, connections, notoriety, etc. They probably get thousands of

submissions a week (or day). If you get the right staff reading your

email/letter, who is in the right space, you might get in. Same with

other morning shows and Oprah. With Oprah's electronic submissions,

if they don't have an initial interest in your appearance or show

idea, they keep your submission in their database and may find it in

a search later on. For example, I had submitted suggestions last

year, but didn't receive a response. Now, let's say Paul McCartney

was to be on a show and wanted some vegan ice cream. They do a search

of their database and... you never know! I don't know if the Today

Show works the same way, but it makes sense to keep the submissions

on file. That way, everyone may get a second chance.

Persistence may also pay off, but I don't know. Some shows may get

annoyed. I'd be curious how Alissa got on too.
