know of a registered dietician?

My son, who is 8, has a very large belly. He looks like one of the

kids you might see on a 'save the children' type commercial (no

offense). He's very skinny, very healthy, never gets sick, etc. We

are mostly raw - about 90-95%. Vegans.

I'm thinking I need to take him to see a dietician or someone of the

sort. Kinesiologist maybe? We stay away from 'regular' doctors, so

that's not an option ...

Maybe it's parasites? Maybe he just has too many muscles and they

need somewhere to go?! He's a gymnast - works out at least 10 hours a

week in the gym with his coach and does extra stuff at home on his own

free will. Very active. Never gets tired. Seems to me like he's

perfectly healthy, but the belly ... I just can't ignore it anymore -

just in case.

Any thoughts? Know of anyone I can take him to? Pref in the Tacoma

area as we live on Ft. Lewis.

Thanks for listening.

If you can't find anyone in your area. My chiropractic is also very

well studied in nutrition and believes in raw nutrition. He would be

able to give you a very honest, supportive, and non-scare-tactic

answer. His name is Dr. Avery Martin and works in Mt. Vernon

Washington (360) 856-5562. His son Dr. Nick Martin works there also

and could give you nutrition info too.

Best wishes to you.

The best person I know to recommend is in Seattle in the Ballard area. He

is a chiropractor who uses kineosology to determine exactly what your

individual body needs. Appointments are generally done on a monthly

basis with the treatment plan changing as the body changes.

Thank you Ron. We've seen a chiro before who used kinesiology - that's how I

found out my boys were allergic to wheat. However we did not have the money at

the time to continue with the monthly appointments. We went a few times and

then stopped (plus we moved here, so we had to stop anyway!).

I'll check him out - if nothing else, maybe he can point me to someone a little

closer to us.

Thanks again.
