Guest guest
I buy the Barley Max product. It is dried at a low temperature, and also contains alfalfa. It was first produced to replace wheatgrass juice. And A.I.M. was the first to carry the dehydrated barley powder. So, would spirulina have more nutritional value? I'd much rather take the barley powder, as it taste better. Lois RawSeattle , " Roger Padvorac " <roger@s...> wrote: > I've been having a hard time finding a source of raw organic spirulina. Most of those mixtures put something in that I'm allergic to, and anyway, I try to keep each meal down to just a few different plants, and avoid supplements of all kinds. Also, verifying that all the ingredients in the mixture supplements are raw would be difficult. > > May your day be filled with clarity, grace, progress, and warm laughter, > Roger > > - > " heartsongarden " <heartsongarden> > <RawSeattle > > Friday, September 23, 2005 12:56 PM > [RawSeattle] Re: items for emergency earthquake kit ? > > > > Spirilina is recommended by Gabriel Cousens for travel/camping, and I > > also try to carry it in my travel bag whenever I leave home. Guest guest
Rawma Bar and Happy Herb Bar are both " organic raw food energy bars. " The company who makes them is Gopal's Healthfoods near San Diego, CA....www.gopalshealthfoods.com. Their ingredients state " soaked, germinated and dehydrated " . I don't know what temp they dry at. My two favorites are the Live Blue Green Happpy Herb Bar(has bluegreen algea), and the Pinapple Nut bar. I often carry a couple in my pocket when leaving home to help me continue towards a raw diet, rather than eating out somewhere. In Bellingham we are able to buy them off the raw food shelves at Terra Organica. They do tend to be a bit too sweet from the dates. Some day I hope to learn to make and dry my own. Thanks for the info on the Larabars...I will reduce my craving for their chocolate coconut bars now.....Also thanks for info on organic greens dried low temps. .. We finally purchased an exalibur and I just today dried my first coconut flesh and my first fruit leathers made from our homegrown apples..Yummie!!! May your smile increase the light of love in those around you... Dancing RawSeattle , " loisc100 " <loisc100> wrote: > I buy the Barley Max product. Guest guest
namaste heartsonggarden.....congratulations on the excalibur purchase...we have three!!! and this time of year they are pretty full and doing their thing....our heartsonggarden is truly SINGING this year......especially the tomatoes......february/march eating the dried jewels " sweet millions " is a true treat.......thank you all, for all of the interesting emails on " what food to stock " in your emergency kit......having been consciously moving through this food intaking for many years....I can attest to the cravings (ie: peanut butter, pizza and chocolate) and the loathings (ie: ENERGY SOUP, rejuvelac, and seed cheeze)....and how your body really tells you when it is time to visit a place like Optimum Health for a few weeks of simply allowing someone else to prepare and even grow the wheatgrass for you......what a joy...Resha (my wife partner and friend) blossoms when we take " vacation " for ourselves.......and I only wish choco canyon was in the south end of seattle.....we would indulge there much more often....it is truly a wonderful day in the neighborhood this morning.....silver eagle - heartsongarden RawSeattle Saturday, September 24, 2005 11:23 PM [RawSeattle] Re: items for emergency earthquake kit ? & raw dried organic greens Rawma Bar and Happy Herb Bar are both " organic raw food energy bars. Guest guest
Also, remember Chlorella, it is more nutritionally dense than spirulina, is detoxyfying, and could be lived on without other food for a long time. The one I sell is more digestible than most. I will find out the processing method and let the group know. I sell in my business, a brand that I think is one of the best and I would be willing to offer a special price to the group. I try to always have some on hand for my own for emergency, and if I sell my last box I order more that day! I'm leaving for Asia in a few days though and won't return until Nov.11th, in terms of purchases, it would need to take place upon my return.
