Guest guest
I'll be in Seattle in late October and am curious to know about any raw restaurants. Thanks! Joyce Kehoe Kauai
Guest guest
Chaco Canyon Cafe is the only restaurant with raw items on the menu. Perhaps you will end up being around for one of their monthly dinners. The dinners are posted on this group, or through Chaco's email list. www.chacocanyoncafe.com There are a few restaurants in the seattle area that have organic vegetables. I order a salad and just sneak in my salad dressing. Except at Sterling Cafe....they use organic cold pressed olive oil, and some sort of sea salt. (sometimes the salt gets to me, so take caution) www.cafejuanita.com www.sterlingcafe.net http://www.unionbaycafe.com/ www.traditionsfairtrade.org (Olympia) joycekehoe24 <joycekehoe24 wrote: I'll be in Seattle in late October and am curious to know about any raw restaurants. Guest guest
Joyce, Mention my name when you're there. It won't get you anything more than the Seattle raw community already gives so graciously to any visitor, but they know who I am. If you're there for a short visit you'll find the best selection of fresh organic produce at the Puget Consumer Co-op. They have stores in West Seattle (closest to downtown) and Bellevue among others. Email me off list if you're interested in seeing anything else while there. I moved away in 2003 after living there for 12 years. Hope your family is doing well. Nick Hein (Note to list members - Joyce ran an organic co-op here in Pittsburgh before moving to Hawaii a few years ago. She's a great woman and has a wonderful family) - " joycekehoe24 " <joycekehoe24 <RawSeattle > Tuesday, October 11, 2005 7:19 PM [RawSeattle] Looking for Raw Restaurants in Seattle > I'll be in Seattle in late October and am curious to know about any > raw restaurants. Guest guest
Thanks Nick, From the looks of the posts, the raw food community in Seattle seems lovely!
