Guest guest
I have indeed been reading what is said here - that doesn't help the fact that not only am I not 100% (or even close) raw, but my 5 y/o daughter (although very healthy) probably couldn't handle a chunk of ingested feces - pardon the bluntness. Guest guest
Well, the bluntness doesn't bother me, but the absurdity of eating a chunk of feces does. At 5 years old I'm sure your daughter is not going to be putting that in her mouth, is she? If she is, you'd best be doing a bit more training. I just have this gut feeling that if it came from your own body, why would it be harmful? Am I being naive? Shari
Guest guest
Sheree, Shari may have been thinking of the RawSchool list, since this topic has been discussed there, as I mentioned. It doesn't matter whether you are raw or SAD. Bacteria do not cause sickness. Their job is to eat dead things. Wherever there is waste to be cleaned up, you will find bacteria. If we really were talking about your non-hand-washing guests leaving " chunks " around your house, I'd certainly worry too. But since we're talking about perfectly harmless, microscopic creatures without whom life as we know it would not be possible, there is no need for concern. Let's stop the biggest war of all .... the futile, insane war on bacteria. Best wishes, Nora I have indeed been reading what is said here - that doesn't help the fact that not only am I not 100% (or even close) raw, but my 5 y/o daughter (although very healthy) probably couldn't handle a chunk of ingested feces - pardon the bluntness. Guest guest
Well, I didn't really mean a " chunk " - I was referring to guests having a bowel movement, getting some of their hands, then sticking their hand into a bowl of crackers, etc. It's not my own feces I'm worried about. Thanks for tip on " training " my daughter better. Nice....... SV <shavig wrote: Well, the bluntness doesn't bother me, but the absurdity of eating a chunk of feces does.
