Guest guest
Another Veggie (non-raw) Restaurant in Seattle is Carmelitas on Greenwood (Chris Maykut owner of local raw cafe Chaco Canyon of course used to be one of the main chefs there back in the day) It is really yummy and super posh - I ate there once cause I have an (shhh) occasional tendency for a lil goat cheese and theirs is quite delish as is everything else. It's your gourmet once and awhile transitional treat for those who allow such indulgences once in a great while. Guest guest
Got that one covered, Shakti. How's things in San Francisco? Any work yet? Shari
Guest guest
I haven't been to Carmelita in years, but have read that they're not nearly as vegan-friendly as Cafe Flora. Raw, beyond salad, is more of a challenge.
Guest guest
I agree with that - although we've only eaten at Carmelita a couple of times since we liked Café Flora way more and ate there dozens of times. However, with 24 hour notice and for a party of at least 4 Carmelita will do a raw dinner (still one of the best raw meals we've had anywhere) whereas Café Flora won't even talk to you about anything raw.
