Guest guest
Hey all, I will be there, I'm excited! I've been reading and using some of the recipes from Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine and have gone to Chaco Canyon Cafe as an intro into world of Raw Live-Food and I look forward to expanding my horizons. **** I'd be less nervous though if I knew WHERE on Bastyr campus the workshop will be held. I would hate to have my $300 go to waste. I haven't received any info since paying and registering online and even after e-mailing the instructor and the info@ e-mail address listed. **** Thanks for your help! Guest guest
Living Light's FUNdamentals class is Sunday Dec. 3, 8:30 am - 6:30 pm in Bastyr's nutrition kitchen, which is in room 8 in the basement. We have signs posted at the entrances how to get there. Basically, it's around the far side of the school, under or approximately under the cafeteria. You can park in the first big parking lot on the side of the building & walk all the way to the back of the building, or drive the long way around past the water towers, park in the small lot there, & have a shorter walk. I was there all day today helping prep the demo trays. It's a LOT of information & I'm excited about the class. I'll be doing a demo or two. There's room for several more people (same $299) price so if anyone wants to go at the last minute, you can show up at the door. We've prepped some extra food & made up some extra binders in case we have people showing up at the door. BTW, I bought Gabriel Cousins' Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine book today at the Bastyr bookstore for 20% off. I'm not sure if the bookstore will be open Sunday, but all their books (except textbooks) are on sale 20% off until December 10th. Guest guest
Hi Daniel, Christy & Fred, I look forward to meeting you at the class tomorrow. Here's a copy of what I posted at the Raw Seattle group, in case you get the daily digest & won't be seeing the message right away: ~Amy Living Light's FUNdamentals class is Sunday Dec. 3, 8:30 am - 6:30 pm in Bastyr's nutrition kitchen, which is in room 8 in the basement. Guest guest
Thank you Amy, I was just over there today and got that info from Facilities Management staff. I was just writing a response as your message came in. That must of been you guys that I saw in the room. I think LL should have been more clear to us about where to go, but I'm glad we know now. I did go out and buy the book " Angel Foods " tonight at B & N U-Village for tomorrow, looks like I got the last one. The Bastyr Bookstore is unfortunately closed on Sundays. Just glancing through the Angel Foods book I notice that Cousins' approach is a bit different than the LL approach as far as I can tell from the recipes. Cousins seems to be much more concerned about restricting or eliminating high-glycemic fruit and sugar in general, corn products, yeast, mushrooms, and soy (including Nama shoyu) for prevention and treatment of mycosis. It would be interesting to hear about where LL and others in the class stand on this. See you there! -Daniel On Dec 3, 2005, at 6:47 PM, Amy wrote: > Living Light's FUNdamentals class is Sunday Dec. 3, 8:30 am - 6:30 > pm in Bastyr's nutrition kitchen, which is in room 8 in the > basement.
