General raw vegan service announcement.

I've been in contact with PCC about their decision to other than put

in a juice bar in their new Redmond store. To make long story short,

I've decided to put energy into things other than a petition, because

it would be futile.

And I learned one interesting thing from this. Only 2% of their DELI

sales (not total store) are from juices. In determining how to make

ends meet at their store, they look at this, because even though

according to them a juice bar is a break-even at best enterprise in

itself, if lots of people were ordering juices, they would be more

likely to support it because they would figure it would bring more

people into the store.

So I am requesting that all of you who can afford to do so, to

purchase a juice every time you go into PCC Greenlake (on Aurora) or

Issaquah, ie, vote for raw vegan organic with your dollars. By the

way, both of these juice bars are excellent, especially Issaquah

which has an amazing selection for a juice bar. So, even if you have

your own juicer, go in there as often as possible and buy a juice.

Of course, its wonderful for us to support ANY juice bar, anywhere,

ie, Chaco, Madison Market, and the new Goddess juice bar (where I

hope to finally go when they are open, this weekend!).

I don't think I need to preach to the choir too much about why we

want to do this, even if we have a better juicer at home --

obviously, having green organic juice available, even if a little

pricey, in a public place, creates a group energy awareness of what

juicing does, can be a catalyst for the next HUGE LOVING LEAP of

dietary consciousness we are all about.

In Loving Gratitude,
