Guest guest
Hi Gang, I implimented a faster version of the driving directions and mapping features. The behavior is identical, however it just loads faster, because the directions or Map URL is generated by your client system vs. on our servers. There is one difference, if one of the webmasters fails to insert any of the following Destination Street, City, State, or Zip, an e-mail will pop up with the URL in the subject line for you to send off to Orion. For those of you using web browsers that don't support javascript (or over secure browsers) the directions should still work (I just tested it). If you don't have Javascript enabled the website won't remember your starting address. That will remain the repurcussion for not having javascript enabled. I could support it on non JavaScript browsers, but it would make the 99% of everyone else's experience slower. I refuse to punish the masses for the paranoid or antiquated few. Thanks, Christian Blackburn

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean no-one is out to get me! Christian, Thanks for your work on the website! Jeff

Every client system I work on that is loaded with crap is missing, one the other or both, either they didn't keep their applications up to date (especially their browser) or they let their virus signatures slide. That's why I'll install AVG AntiVirus on their systems, it's totally free and updates automatically daily, no annoying clicking and focus stealing like Norton AntiVirus. Most of symantec's products cause as many problems as they fix. > Christian, > > Thanks for your work on the website! I disagree. I see things all the time that would compromise me were I running inherently-vulnerable software without being careful, despite patches. Addressing root causes instead of duct-taping design flaws after the fact will always be safer.
Guest guest
Actually, I was kidding (that's an old joke), but thank you for the explanation.
