hi all (again),

I'm looking into getting certified as a raw nutritionist/chef and i've

been doing some online research. I have found many sites that offer

chef training (which i feel i need less of), and not as many on food

combining and nutrition aspects.

what do you guys think or heard of alissa cohen's classes? (she has a

certification class coming up that does both of these)

do you know any other programs that are excellent and respected?

Thanks!

christina

Hi Christina,

Dr Graham is offering a two day nutritional course in

August in California. I've copied a little blurb about

it below. You can check out more info at his website

at www.foodnsport.com and then click on events. I'm

thinking about going to this one. :-)

All the best!

Audrey

Raw Nutritional Science: Part 1 August 21-22

8:00 am to 5:30 pm

This one-of-a-kind experience within the world of

nutrition will leave you speechless as the nuances of

nutrition are demystified before your very eyes. In

Part 1, the Graham?s break down the basic concepts of

nutrition from a raw-food perspective and provide you

with the understanding you need to develop a healthful

raw diet. Along with a personal diet and lifestyle

evaluation you will also learn about:

acid/alkaline balance

the role and function of vitamins

the body's true nutrient ratio requirements

about carbohydrates and why we need them

the role of protein in the diet

the best sources of bio-available proteins

the basic functions and roles of fats

blood sugar issues

sodium/potassium balance

macro and micro minerals and trace elements

the basic uses of water in the body

what constitutes a healthy body composition

evaluating superfoods and supplements

how nutrients are affected by cooking

the best sources of water, vitamins and minerals

how to design your own healthy diet

so much more!
