Guest guest
Jeff, Thanks so much for remembering. Yes I'm 49 today, I'm going to celebrate breaking 49 years by going for a bike ride and finding a hill where I can break 49 mph. Next year when I turn 50 I'll break 50 mph on level ground in a bike that I'm designing and building myself (see www.positivespin.org/ps_projects/modela.html). As for how old I feel, I feel better now than I did when I was 25. I can still bound up stairs 3 at a time and outrun my kids on foot or on bike. To top it off I'm now in a job that I'm good at and having fun with (I've been overdue for a long time). Have a great day. Guest guest
Helen, Thanks for the kind words. I don't currently have a bike with a speedometer on it that will do 49 so I went out on a road where the traffic usually goes 50 and tried to keep up. I was going downhill and drafting but I did it. Next year I'll build a streamlined bike, put a speedometer on it and break 50 accurately and honestly. Have a great day.
