The mission of the store is to help sustain the raw/living foods lifestyle by providing a comprehensive array of high-quality products and services that help empower people to make healthy dietary choices. The mission of the raw community center is to be a " hub " of information, tools, and resources that help people overcome unhealthy eating patterns and maintain a diet that is light, ethical, and sustainable. We also aim to be a community leader that keeps the raw foods movement vibrant and alive, serving as a place where individuals and community groups can draw support from and engage, organize, and effect change. The store will carry a wide variety of products that support the raw/living foods lifestyle. These products include raw, organic produce, packaged raw foods, bulk foods, equipment cruelty-free body care items, supplements, wellness products, book, and more. The store will also feature a raw/living foods deli section with fresh dishes prepared daily; a juice/smoothie bar featuring young coconut smoothies and green drinks; and a 100% raw, organic salad bar. It is my vision that the raw community center will have an educational library that offers free or low-cost educational materials to members that can be checked-out for a finite period of time; literature (e.g. pamphlets and brochures); speakers on health topics related to achieving optimal health; meetings designed to support the raw food enthusiast; raw food preparation classes; a community bulletin space; social events (e.g. happy hours in the juice bar, community potlucks, contests, etc.); referral service to alternative health professionals; and Wi-Fi access. Because I am in the planning stages, it is important that I conduct market research to explore if Seattle is a viable market for raw food products. If you are at all interested in helping make this vision a success, please support me by participating in this very important survey I am conducting. I anticipate this will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
