Your tax dollars at work: Making sure that the only " health care " you

receive will be from licensed practitioners, and that those licensed

practitioners only treat you with " approved " therapies. Anybody here who

does health counseling of any kind, even if only on a web site or via email,

whether for pay or not, ought to take note! www.wachoice.org

John:

It's been awhile, but with the help of Libertarians Joe Mistachkin and his

business partner Dawson Cowals, we finally have an adequate website for

explaining the sorry state of health care freedom in Washington State, along

with our proposed legislative solution for the next legislature, the

" Patient's Choice in Health Care " Act

All is posted at www.wachoice.org , including the proposed legislation.

We're having a meeting 7 PM October 13th, a Friday, at Bryman college to go

over " what's next " , strategy, tactics, etc.

Directions to Bryman (500 Southwest 39th, Renton) can be found at

This is a " core " Libertarian issue.....the right of any competent adult to

choose whatever type of health care he or she wants for him- or herself, and

family. The Department of Health is presently trying to dictate to us all

what treatments should be " allowed " , and which not, even when there is no

danger of harm and no patient complaints.

Please re-send this e-mail to as many Libertarians as possible, as far in

advance of this meeting as you can. If any would join us to work this issue

as part-time volunteers for a few months, it would be much appreciated.

If any Libertarian candidates for office would like to come to our meeting

and say a few words, that's fine, too. Anyone who'd like to do that, please

let me know.

Thanx John. If you'd prefer to re-write this, please do.

For those of you reading messages on the website, the full subject line

didn't come through. The last part I typed was:

Are Raw Food Counselors Next?

With the increased interest in raw foods, it may be only a matter of time

before the State begins targeting folks who suggest that others improve

their health with raw foods. In the past, Natural Hygienists in some

states have been harassed and even jailed (e.g. Herbert Shelton). The State

of WA probably already takes the position that anyone giving any nutritional

advice whatsoever is violating the law. I think the proposed legislation

should be of interest to anyone, libertarian or not, who values freedom in

healthcare choices.
