Ok, so as I stated before it's been a little over a month since I started going

about 90% raw. Tonight I was making dinner for my wife and daughter. They are

vegan but not raw. I had a bag of prepackaged potatos and vegan burgers that I

was heating up for them. I tasted one of the potatos and had to spit it out.

Same thing with the burger. These are things that only a month ago I would have

enjoyed. Also, my sinusis have been stuffy just about my whole life. I never

really new why. Since going raw they have cleared up for the first time. It's

really amazing. Has anyone else experienced these things and can you tell me why

it happens. I can see if it had been a couple of years but I didn't expect these

kinds of changes so quickly. Not complaining by the way.

Thanks, Shain

taste changes ? how absurd..

food should be cooked. i deep fry my bananas and microwave my

mangoes. overwise it taste to jungle like to me. i like the plastic

flavour from foods and tinned products packed back in 1986. it

brings be back to the time i went to watch 'star wars, return of the

jedi'.. the good ol days..

i went to the market today. this hippy chick offered me a tomatoe

with no chemicals on it. organic or something. man it cost double

what a bottle of tomato sauce would! and some people reckon this

chemical free crud tastes better? i mean, how can you tell the

difference?

and then i went past this stall selling cakes. they was rip off

artists or sum'thn. cos they didnt even had any milks or eggs or any

animal body part in them..but what got me furious was they wasnt

even cooked! these bastards with their hippy cancer free, animal

free and cooked free cakes n pizzas!!

i mean you cant put NUTS on a pizza! well except animal nuts!

and its just coincidence your sinus cleared up when you started

eating more of that 'raw plant' food in your diet. PURE COINCIDENCE!

cos cooking food is natural. my family did it, and my uncle jesse

grand pa did too. and its good and natural to cook foods that would

overwise be impossible to stuff down my mouth whilst watching

superbowl.. i mean george bush eats cooked food. and animal foods

too. so if its good enough for my mate bushy, its good enough for

lil ol me!

monsanto is good for the economy, who cares americans release more

carbon dioxide each year cooking food than driving cars to work.

hopefully the fumes will kill off of a few of them organic hippys

that are to lazy to cook a god damn cake!

jeez i just burnt the pork... now i gotta go to mcdonalds to get my

essential fatty acids and full spectrum of protein. cos all them raw

vegan ultra endurance athletes are too skinny and obsessed about

riding 300 miles a day solo for fun.

freaks!

Shain,

Many raw foodists have noticed taste changes. I believe it to be the

body's way of having us avoid foods that are not ideal for us. As the

body cleans up and ingests more and more pure food, it can better

recognize what we should not eat. The taste buds are part of the body's

line of defense. If it smells bad, we shouldn't eat it. If it tastes

bad, we shouldn't eat it. I suspect when our bodies are bombarded with

cooked foods, preservatives, artificial ingredients, and animal

products (especially when mixed together), the body has a difficult

time recognizing the unhealthful foods and has a difficult time warning

us. I've lost my taste for foods over the years and have drawn to more

live pure plant-based foods. My health has also improved. I recognize

that is for a reason. The more I have listened to my body, the more my

health has improved.

I have heard of the most benefits, regarding sinus congestion, being

from eliminating dairy. I've found my body to work more efficiently on

raw vegan foods. It doesn't surprise me to hear of your sinuses

clearing up.

Shain,

The body is built up from the foods that we eat. When we change to a

simple whole foods diet, our body chemistry starts to change and our taste

buds become much more discriminating. Also, your sinuses have

probably cleared up because you have eliminated dairy, which many are

allergic to, or other cooked substances that the body reacts to by

producing mucous.
