Guest guest
Hello, I am new on the list. I have just returned from a 2 month road trip to Cabo and back. My aunt in California gave me a huge bag of lemons from her backyard. They look like oranges, but are definately lemons! LOL.. I am new to raw fooding so any suggestions on how to use these up before they spoil would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Tina
Guest guest
Hi Tina, OH ...So those extra tart oranges that my friend gave us from California are really lemons. Do you have a vitamix or juicer? You can always juice them with perhapes apple and/or ginger and/ or greens. I googled raw recipies lemons and found this site http://www.rawsacramento.net/recipes.htm Lemons are used in so many raw recipies and can always be used on a salad. You can also bring some to share at the next potluck. Don't let them go to spoil. Terri Tina <1radtech wrote: Hello, I am new on the list. Guest guest
Hi Tina, I've been drinking my water with lemon juice squeezed into it. I got the idea after reading a David Wolfe book where he said that lemon juice helps stimulate the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and so it helps with digestion, or something along those lines. But the real benefit I've gotten from it is that I drink way more water now because it tastes so good and refreshing. I am absolutely terrible about not drinking enough water each day. So that's one idea to use them up. I go through a lemon a day that way. -Diana RawSeattle , " Tina " <1radtech wrote: I am new to raw fooding so any suggestions on how to use > these up before they spoil would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Thank you for the suggestions and links. I appreciate the activity on this list. I would love to attend a potluck at some point. However, I actually live in the Blaine area so it might take some pre-planning ) Thank you again - Tina
