Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good DVD on going to an all

raw food diet-lifestyle. I would like to be able to do this

sucessfully and think that it might help.

Thanks

Mary

Hi Mary:

The King County Library System (www.kcls.org) recently acquired a DVD about

being on the raw food diet. After watching it, I went raw.

Here's the link:

http://catalog.kcls.org/search?/Yraw & searchscope=49 & SORT=D/Yraw & searchscope=49 & S\

ORT=D & SUBKEY=raw/1%2C17%2C17%2CB/frameset & FF=Yraw & searchscope=49 & SORT=D & 1%2C1%2C

Raw [videorecording] : the living food diet / director, Jonathan Shneidman ;

written & produced by Jonathan Shneidman, Joel Rutkowski, Yvonne Ortiz.

Publication Info. Los Angeles, CA : Freepoint Entertainment, c2005.

Good morning,

Since I no longer have easy access to the King County library system, I looked

online to see if this DVD is available. There appears to be 1 copy on the

Amazon list.

Does anyone else know of a source of more copies? I was going to recommend it

on our local (WV, PA) lists.

Is there a similar or better DVD that you'd recommend? I see that Alissa Cohen

has one, any recommendations for that?

Thanks.

HI Nick:

Usually your local public library can do an inter-loan on your behalf across

the United Statest among the many libraries.

If you call up your local library in WV, you can ask them about borrowing this

DVD that is in circulation nearest to where you live.

As of last night, there are 8 holds on 5 circulating DVDs.

Just a thought,

Siri

Siri,

Thank you. It just occurred to me to try the University library too (I'm a 15

minute walk away from it). Maybe (big maybe) the Health Sciences school will

have something related to nutrition. I've got a friend who's going in for a

bone marrow transplant soon that might be able to avoid it with this

information.

Alissa Cohen has a double DVD set that is very good (www.alissacohen.com). You

may be able to find it on Ebay also. She demonstrates how to make many of the

recipes in her book. It's like taking a class. The one book that has helped me

the most to stay raw is Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People by Jennifer

Cornbleet. It's great for a beginner. All the recipes are easy and so delicious.

You basically just need a blender and a food processor to get started.

Thanks for that recommendation. I'll have the blender at least!
