Guest guest
Jenice Armstrong | 'Ebony' party a showcase Mon, Feb. 26, 2007 http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/living/people/women/16785271.htm [At bottom of article] ....Philly home girl Nwenna Kai, of Oak Lane, had more reason than most to root for Forest Whitaker last night. Besides being a fan, she's also his business partner. The two run an organic, raw vegan raw café in Los Angeles called " Taste of the Goddess. " Kai, 31, who graduated from William Bodine High, met Whitaker while interning for his now-defunct production company. After quitting the film business and going into business for herself, she sought out Whitaker, a longtime vegetarian who signed on with her last year. Guest guest
Saw this restaurant featured on the Travel Channel. The guy visiting was a jerk about the food, but did admit it was good. Andy Dick was one of the guests at the outdoor dinner. Forest Whitaker was not mentioned. Shari
Guest guest
I ate there several months ago and the food was absolutely wonderful. My sister and I shared the ravioli and the enchilada wrap. We got several desserts to take home like various cookies and apple pie. I can't wait to go again. I thought it was way better and not as foo-foo as Juliano's. The people there were so nice and they give a first timer's discount. My sister, who is not raw, loved it as well. I got to try the raw cafe in Las Vegas last month as well and it was spectacular. I got their neatloaf and the Mexicali Sampler. I hope someday there will be a raw restaurant in evey city. I do miss dining out. Joan SV <shavig wrote: Saw this restaurant featured on the Travel Channel. The guy visiting was a jerk about the food, but did admit it was good.
