Guest guest
Re: Living Green Natural Food and Apothecary Here's a portion of a review on the raw-friendly restaurant on Whidbey Island: " Unfortunately, I don't live on the island, but whenever I visit my parents I'll be sure to stop by for a bite to eat. I highly recommend Living Green. *Update:* I now live in Los Angeles and have tried many vegan and/or raw restaurants in the area and though some of them are quite good, nothing I've had has lived up to the rawsome wrap I had at Living Green, and most of them lack the warm and welcoming atmosphere and staff Living Green has. I can't wait until my next trip to Washington. Guest guest
YES! This place is the best! I think I wrote a review last summer after discovering the place by accident one day while Aunt Liz was visiting from Arizona. Aunt Liz is 80 and she just trucked right up the HUGE hill to the restaurant and raved about the food. Joe and I have been back a few times. Ferry ride from Mukilteo is only a couple dollars, you can find free parking on the street in Muk and there is a free bus to Langley. From there you need to ask the Visitors Information on what street to take to get there. Like I said it is a VERY steep, long hill but oh, so worth the walk. If Aunt Liz can do it, you can too! Guest guest
Sounds like we need to plan a RawWA outing to check it out. We can alert them ahead of time as to how many of us will invade the place! We can order a rake-load of raw wraps! I believe your post last year was the first I hear of the place. Thanks! Guest guest
Make sure to call ahead. My husband and I planned a night away on Whidbey so we could go out to eat there and they had stopped serving raw meals the week before due to lack of interest. We had to scramble to find food and luckily found a little health food store. They said they'd probably start serving raw again in the spring or summer. The girl working there seemed fairly clueless about raw foods based on the selections she offered to make for us. I was disappointed that they didn't post the info on their website as we checked it ahead of time. Joan Jeff Rogers <jeff wrote: Sounds like we need to plan a RawWA outing to check it out.
