Guest guest
I need some advice, input or general thoughts on airports. Since raw foodists have to bring their own food on aiplanes how do you think those scanners that you have to send all your carry ons/shoes etc. through, how do you think it affects the food that goes through them. Do you think it sends radiation into the food? I don't see any other alternative though since I won't eat airplane food. Please let me know thoughts on this. Thanks! Andrea Be a PS3 game guru. Guest guest
The very best food I've seen inside airports is usually just-barely-ripe conventional bananas and apples. I take sufficient snacks with me and allow it through the x-ray. If you have some food on your person, the worse it will get is whatever goes through you when walking through the metal-detectors. I suspect that eating food that has been subjected to the x-rays from one pass through the machine won't be a great impact on you, though I have not read details about it. You can request they not send your food through. I believe you also do not have to take your shoes off (used to be just a request), but then you will be scrutinized and get hand-wanded, swiped (for explosives), etc. The request for hand-inspected foods may have the same result: closer scrutiny. Ultimately, it comes down to choices. Of course, with more knowledge, you can make better choices. Jeff
Guest guest
Andrea ~ The x-ray will pass a small amount of radiation through your food. The amount of the radiation will be about the same as if you sat it on a picnic table in the sunlight for 1/2 hour. Just an FYI (for fun!), a 4 hour airplane ride is equal to the radiation you would get from one chest x-ray becaue of the high altitude. The sun's radiation is not filtered by the atmosphere. ~ Tina (info from my partner who is a retired radiologist *smile*)
Guest guest
Andrea, I went on a flight once about 3 years ago and had some SUPPLEMENTS ( actually a lot ,lol ) with me and I said I didnt want them to go through the scanner and they had no problem with it and barely looked at them. It may just depend on who,and where at that moment. Catheirne Need advice on food through Airport scanners I need some advice, input or general thoughts on airports. Guest guest
Andrea, In my opinion, the airport scanners will have subtle effects on your food, that may bring down the high vibration of raw food, but only very slightly, and eating said food will still nourish and not harm you. In other words, again imo, if you're passing through a salad, or a fruit, its not great but its really nothing to worry about. It is more of a problem in the case of superfoods or herbs, which may have more complex and delicate energy patterns. Even in this case, I doubt it would diminish the health effect appreciably to undergo one scan. However, if flying frequently with the same bottle of herbs, the damaging effects will accumulate to some degree, how much is hard to say but I like to have my herbs at the highest and most natural frequency possible. Therefore, when I travel, I always carry my supplements in one of those radiation protective bags sold at camera stores for film. Because we are talking about subtle energy fields, which can be discrupted by high frequency radiation it also helps to project positive, protective energy around yourself and your food, cleansing self with imaginary white light, etc. Our subtle energy bodies other than love the EMFs coming from cell phones, microwaves etc, and repeated exposure is other than the best, however, its also possible to mitigate these effects through positive thinking and subtle energy techniques. Or so tis, in _my_ reality. , Andrea Olson <wholebodyharmony wrote: > > I need some advice, input or general thoughts on airports.
