Guest guest
I heard that Maca is supposed to be a hormone balancer, and for the first time in ten years I have felt my hormones more balanced, as well as a decrease in cramps. I have been eating a lot of Raw Wild bars with Maca and large amounts of Blue green algae. Has anyone if Blue green algae can balance hormones? Is Maca known for this? I also want to help out a friend who is going through menopause and would like to recommend something to her as well. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks Food fight? Guest guest
I know that the Raw Wild Bar also had a lot of cacao, so wonder what effect that has on the hormones. Perhaps it is a synergistic effect with the combination of ingredients. I will say that I felt really good the first time I ate one of the bars. I don't usually notice that same fealing with other raw " nutrition " bars or raw chocolate. I sensed their bars are both high quality and the right mix of ingredients. I've also heard women mentioning a decreased effect of " menopause " on raw foods. Others " bypass " the whole " phase " alltogether. I'm sure that menopause, like menstruation, is actually unnatural and unnecessary. If we (humans) were following our natural diet, we would not be experiencing a lot of these (and other) issues. Guest guest
I never ate maca after the first time I tasted it and blue green algae is just plain unnatural, to me. Never have I experienced a hot flash, lakc of sleep or any menopause symptoms, none whatsoever. I haven't had a period in over 5 years. Guest guest
Hi Shari, When you ate the maca that time, what was the taste/sensation/feeling that caused you to decide to not eat it again? I'm trying to learn to hear and correctly interpret messages from myself about what I really should and shouldn't be eating, and so am curious about what caused you do not eat the maca. May your day be filled with clarity, grace, progress, and warm laughter, Roger - " SV " <shavig Friday, March 30, 2007 2:15 AM Re: Maca and Blue green algae question > I never ate maca after the first time I tasted it and blue green algae is just plain unnatural, to me. Guest guest
Shari, If it was a matter of taste and you ate them alone, I would not eat them that way either. not sure they are meant as a food to eat by themselves but something to use along with other foods, or something that got into the diet naturally ? ( just thinking out loud here) or to use as medicines at times of need.? I dont know how they eat or use it where it grows I will have to read about that. You are one in a million to never have any Menopause symptoms count yourself lucky ,blessed and rare ! The questions to you could be .........Genetics (what your sisters, mother experienced)? .what " exactly " do you eat on a daily basis for the last five - ten years ? where do you live (what is the environmental health) ? etc. That is helping you to sail through this time.
