Guest guest
I have been doing some research on juicers, blenders and the vita mix. I don't like how juicers get rid of all the good stuff (pulp etc...). I found a document on the vita mix website stating the blades vibrate and cause heat. In fact, they can actually heat a bowl of soup instead of using a stove. I am considering a Vita Mix, and my wife really wants one. However, I am concerned the blades are doing the exact opposite of the companies claim, which is bringing out the enzymes, and vitamins. My concern is that the heat is destroying and enzymes and vitamins. Would any of you raw fooders consider using a Vita Mix, and still consider the food raw. I think the blade might only have to be on for a few seconds (for fruits and veggies), which might not cause much heat at all. Thoughts, or comments? Thanks. Guest guest
I never run the Vita Mix long enough to get anything hot out of it. Guest guest
My understanding is that the heating is an option and that just like a blender there will be a bit of warmth but nothing close to 116 degrees. I don't have a Vitamix, so maybe someone else knows more. www.healthylivingstrategies.net On Behalf Of hacktoriousFriday, July 20, 2007 12:24 PM Subject: Vita Mix and Heat I have been doing some research on juicers, blenders and the vita mix.I don't like how juicers get rid of all the good stuff (pulp etc...). Guest guest
The vita Mix can certainly heat up to the point you see steam . You have to use it and then turn it off. The Vita Mix is a wonderful machine. However it is not a juicer. I think you need to read a little more about juicing and why the pulp is not wanted when one is juicing or fasting.
