Guest guest
I couldn't eat it totally raw - too rubbery. I have sliced it thin and dehydrated it and enjoyed it. Guest guest
Yup, do you have a dehydrator? You can throw some eggplant, fresh thyme, salt, and some olive oil together and throw it in the dehydrator. I will get you the recipe on Wednesday or Thursday.-TinoScott <scottm Sent: Monday, July 30, 2007 2:23:56 PM raw eggplant Has anyone ever tried raw eggplant?--ScottDon't under estimate the wisdom of nature. Guest guest
Yum, I can hardly wait. Here is another recipe I want to try. http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/eggavo.htmlI read on a few websites that raw eggplants are poisonous. Apparently they contain Oxlactic Acid, which is what is in poison ivy has. I believe this same substance is in mangoes and pistachios as well. Actually pistachios are boiled, or something to remove the poisonous coating.--ScottDon't under estimate the wisdom of nature.--- oberoc wrote:Tino Dai <oberoc , Subject: Re: raw eggplantMon, 30 Jul 2007 14:58:45 -0700 (PDT) Yup, do you have a dehydrator? Guest guest
Hmmm, I wonder if that removes the supposed Oxlactic acid it contains.--ScottDon't under estimate the wisdom of nature.--- pnparlette wrote:<pnparletteRE: raw eggplantMon, 30 Jul 2007 16:26:27 -0400 I couldn't eat it totally raw - too rubbery.
