Guest guest
Is anyone else experiencing some winter blues? just seems like its hard to get fresh fruits and veggies this time of year, and its more costly and its been bumming me out. plus, its cold out. I thought we could offer each other some winter support. If anyone has anything inspirational, please share. Guest guest
I've enjoyed some good apples, oranges, bananas, and grapes. A friend of mine made an apple salad with cashew mayo, raisins nuts, and a little cinnimin and agave. I really enjoyed it. We have to remember to be in harmony with the universe, that includes eating in season. Sometimes I might purchase summer fruits in the winter, usually I'm disappointed. Guest guest
Green juices! I've been so blessed to be able to juice lacinto kale celery cucumbers and for sweetness, carrots or beets. It is an incredible supplement. It is worth it to wake up a bit earlier to make my lunch / juice. other than that i'm always eating kale with lately raw tahini sauce, (avocados and tomatoes), onions, (are organic bread and butter pickles considered cheating!!!????) I wrap it up in the kale leaf, and albeit somewhat messy, it does satisfy me. For desert I have bosc pears with raw almond butter and agave for treats i get raw nutsalad sandwiches or pizza (they sell them at my health food store or even the dreaded corporate whole foods-boo). i no longer need the variety. When i have the energy i'll make some sweet potatoe dishes (thanks to Lynda's raw soul uncook book). my spiralizer broke or I'd make zucchinni spaghetti with either cashew sauce or a raw marinara sauce and there is a recipe for neat balls with pecans (the raw food cookbook has one, but there are others as well) There's always something. Inspiration abounds Blessings and Thanks family for being my support in this world. pam Joann Holmes <serquta Fri, 7 Dec 2007 9:52 am Re: winter blues I've enjoyed some good apples, oranges, bananas, and grapes.
