Guest guest
Peace and Love Family! It is time to cleanse and heal with the Yabba Pot Posse! We actually were set to start yesterday, but the Labor Day Holiday thru me off. It wasnt until last night that I realized that it was the first day of September. Anyway, as we move forward into the Challenge I will be posting as much as I can about being successful in eating raw. There are well over 500 members of Raw Soul who can offer and answer your questions. Raw Soul - this is Skai from the Yabba Pot here in Baltimore. I recently had a baby (three weeks ago), and since I am not as active as I have been in the past I decided to do our quarterly Raw Food Challenge online right here on the Raw Soul . I hope yall will welcome folks from the Yabba Pot and encourage them to stay raw through the next 22 days. Also, I encourage you to participate in the challenge as well. It is a great feeling to have a collective eating this way..sharing the same journey. One - Skai

Guest guest
Hi Skai: This is Joyce who used to live in Baltimore and moved to Atlanta and now lives in Bristol, CT. What do you think of everyone contributing a simple recipe a day to help the new ones out? and maybe an experience would help also. What do you think? Guest guest
Staying Strong is real! My first advice is to go shopping. The main thing you need to start you off strong in a good variety of raw food...fruits, veggies, sprouts, and seeds. See my post on what you can eat. peas skai , " connie_pedrosa " <connie_pedrosa wrote: > > Hi Skai, > > I am going for it also...any suggestions to a strong beginning? Guest guest
Greetings Members: First, my congratulations goes out to Skai on your new bundle of JOY and without over-doing it, I hope you are able to get back to what resembles normal as soon as possible. I'd like to welcome ALL new members to the group, particularly those participating in the Raw Food Challenge, hope you're finding information posted here through our message board, files and links (via 's homepage) helpful. Whatever you do, please remember to become familiar with the homepage and particularly the message board. There is a wealth of information posted there for all. There has been many challenges here, in the last five years whether they were water, coconut water, live foods, or fruit fasts, also the master cleanse and many types of detox programs that lots of the members have participated in. Some may have even been chronicled online. Nearly any subject that you're interested in should be there, just click on "Messages" and type in your key word. There are quite a few very important tips for you as you begin your "party to remember!" 1. Like Skai mentioned, GO Shopping!2. Understand why you're doing what you're doing by picking up a few of those books that populated to your email when you joined and READ them. Ask questions if there's anything your don't understand.3. Journal every single thing you consume, everyday! You'll be surprised.4. Journal every single change that you notice happening to you. I don't mean just the average sleeping better, more energy, etc., although those are very significant changes. I mean, things like mind clearity, clearer complextion, pink skin under your nails, whether the whites of the eyes REALLY become white. Just to name a few.5. Turn around and actually LOOK at your stool (yes, I did say that), liquid and solid and notice the change in the HUH, AROMA?? (SMILE)6. Each time you shop, pick up a fruit or vegetable that you've never eaten in your life!!! (go here to take a look at something new, http://www.coosemans.com) click on "Produce Guide" and just click on everything in that list. You will be given pictures and a variety of information for each.7. DO NOT discuss your challenge with ANYONE! DO NOT JUSTIFY to anyone!8. Don't be in a hurry and don't look for anything (if it's your first challenge), afterall, you've never done this so you don't know what to expect.9. As Victoria Boutenko would say, "Eat your Fruits and Drink your Vegetables" if you can. So do a lot of juicing. When you get a chance also pick up a book by Dr. Norman Walker called Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices.10. Have fun and be ready to birth a New You and plan how to continue to grow younger and live better! I may post more as things come to you.
