DC Produce Co-op list for November 21, 2008

Greetings all,

 

This is not a regular week co-op but since the short orders last week we will do co-op this week.

 

The list is now in PDF format. There are 3 different attachments:

1) Freggie price list

2) Contents of freggie and pick up location this week

3) Per item list

 

There are some of the prices we had last week as far as the really good prices go and there are also a few additions to the list per co-op member request.

 

Some of those items are Conventional so please look for the C on the list- the conventional items are sweet potatoes, kale, lemons, clementines. OH any Florida avoes- they are the large green skin avocados. The farm that growers them has not yet been certified but has used organic growing methods for the last 10 years.

 

We also added a few more organic items like plantains, orange juice, and navel oranges.

 

So some good priced items this week ( prices lowering because of larger supply than demand!)

 

- Organic Pineapple- 9 ct case $18.00 a case or 2.00 each

 

- Organic Kale (green) a case is 24 bunches in a case- case price 34.00 - 1/2 case (12 bunches) 17.00 or a 1.44 a bunch

 

- Organic Spinach - a case is 24 bunches - case price 38.00 - 1/2 case (12 bunches) 19.000 or 1.70 a bunch

 

- Organic Valencia Oranges- full case is 40lb about 70-80 oranges in a case- Price 28.00 a case- 1/2 case (20lb) 14.00 or 4lbs of oranges for 2.80

 

This week orders will be due on Thursday by 10 am and payments by 7pm the same day (Thursday)
