Guest guest
Interestingly, raw, fresh-pressed sugar cane juice is nothing like refined white sugar. Below is a summary of its benefits and characteristics: 1. Rich in organic salts, minerals, vitamins, fatty acids, fiber, and amino acids. It is a good source of protein, iron, phosphorous, calcium, chromium, vitamin A, C, B1 (Thiamin), B2 (Riboflavin), and B3 (Niacin). 2. Is low-glycemic 3. Is highly alkaline and reputed to be good in fighting prostate and breast cancer 4. Combats jaundice and hepatitis 5. Hydrates and energizes the body. It eases heat and physical exhaustion. 6. Strengthens the stomach, kidneys, heart, eyes, brain, and sex organs 7. Helps clear urine 8. Prevents tooth decay, strengthens teeth and gums, and helps fight gingivitis Sugar cane juice is very popular in Cuba, Brazil, India, Pakistan, and Malaysia. In these countries, it is often mixed with lime, ginger, coconut water, guava, mango, and/or passion fruit. --Deirdre , " Skai " <Bushtea wrote: > > What are the nutritional benefits of cane juice? > > Do people drink it straight up or do they dilute it in other beverages? > > Skai > Sent from my BlackBerry wireless handheld. > > > Mark Blake <blakensons > > Thu, 9 Apr 2009 15:01:05 > > RE: Fresh Pressed Sugar Cane Juice for Sale > > > > are you in the DC area? Guest guest
Currently, I am not in the DC area, but I may be taking a trip there this month. The cost of the sugar cane juice is as follows: 1 gallon $22 1/2 gallon $12 1 pint (16 oz) $4 , Mark Blake <blakensons wrote: > > > are you in the DC area? Guest guest
I forgot to add that in general, people drink it straight up, but they may also add a hint of lime, ginger, mint, guava puree, passion fruit juice, or some other non-sweet fruit. As with many raw, unpasteurized, (non-acidic) fresh juices, it is highly perishable and does not have a long shelf life. It must be refrigerated if you plan to drink it within a day or two or frozen otherwise. Adding fresh ginger tends to preserve it a little longer. P.S. While sugarcane juice is a highly nutritious drink and does not need to be combined with anything else, other applications include mixing it with your herbal tinctures (healthy cocktails), putting it in your smoothies, or drizzling it over your grapefruit. , " Skai " <Bushtea wrote: > > What are the nutritional benefits of cane juice? > > Do people drink it straight up or do they dilute it in other beverages? > > Skai > Sent from my BlackBerry wireless handheld. > > > Mark Blake <blakensons > > Thu, 9 Apr 2009 15:01:05 > > RE: Fresh Pressed Sugar Cane Juice for Sale > > > > are you in the DC area?
