Guest guest
Okay, I know there is nothing I can do about it, but have any of you notice= d how many people ask over at quick vegetarian to be d from that list? *lol* Dang, like we can do that? Or why is it they can't figure out h= ow to do it themselves? Sometimes I have taken pity on their ignorance and have privately emailed them with instructions how they can do it for themselves.= Today a person emailed me privately with this: " sharon knecht " <sbkno1rnÊ patchouli_troll Wed, 06 Nov 2002 22:26:03 +0000 Un from list sbkno1rn What the heck? They aren't even a member here or any other group I own. Maybe b/c I post recipes over at quick veggie they think I own it and can d= o something for them. Oh well. Rant mode off. I hope you are all having a good day. I am supposed= to be mowing my leaves into mulch. Funny how I can always find something more fun to do than that and housework. *lol* :::coffeemug salute::: ~ P_T ~ All art, all education, can be merely a supplement to nature. -Aristotle (B.C. 384-322)

Sometimes I have taken pity on their ignorance and have >privately emailed them with instructions how they can do it for themselves.= About a year ago, on another list (the fatfree list - not a list), I used to occasionally post unsubbing directions to people who didn't know how (the list had an absentee owner at the time). Then I started getting email from one particular person asking me to unsub her. I explained to her that I couldn't do that, I had nothing to do with the list ownership, administration etc. Well, this went on for a while and her emails to me got increasingly nasty and she then started complaining to my website/email host, Pair, that I was spamming her and refused to unsub her from a list I owned! I had to explain the whole mess to Pair, with copies of her emails (which fortunately I'd saved). What a disaster. I don't try to help people unsub from lists anymore! It's dangerous. What a mess. Thanks for that advice, Pat. I will certainly heed it. They can figure it out for themselves from now on. I will also save her email for a while in case she gives me any trouble. If she emails me again I will block her from my email. ~ P_T ~ While we are asleep in this world, we are awake in another one. -Salvador Dali, painter (1904-1989)
Guest guest
PT I know just what you mean! I am a listowner too, and the posts I get are sometimes very funny. If the person writes to the list, access their post from the home page. Above their post you'll see (on the left) " Remove Author. " Click on that and a page comes up where all you have to do is push a button. Of course, it doesn't work if they're not on your list! LOL! Tea and sympathy from over here.
