Guest guest
If you are desperate to try chipotle sauce, you probably have two options. One of us down here in Texas (I'll say again, not by choice and not forever) could mail you a box full of cans of them. The other option is to order them from Whole Foods on line. I havn't checked but I'd be willing to bet that they carry them. Have you checked whole foods up there? They seem to carry everything else. I'll definitely be trying that sauce though... For any of you who don't mind eating anchovies, I have a wonderful tomatoe sauce recipe for you! Let me know if you want it as I know most of you on the list are probably not interested. =) As a not native Texan, I don't do much barbeque and the only places that I have been to that do, I frankly wasn't impressed with. All my students stood shocked when I mentioned that, but it was true. My Texan boyfriend and his family also don't do much like it. They do, however, buy tamales from a lady in their little town and eat them with a can of chili. We get that frequently when we go home. And, we're going home this weekend! I love his family, which is good since we're probably getting married in a year or two. Odly enough, they love me and think I am nuts for loving " thier Russ " .... he is a bit difficult to get along with at times. But, I've found that true of most Texans... sorry, no offense meant there. =-) I have to say, for living in south Texas, it is certainly chilly right now. At least the cats love me more in this kind of weather. Have a great day! We used to go to Whole Foods, then we moved away --- now the nearest one is over 200 miles from here! They stopped selling online. Very sad. However, there's an almost-as-good supermarket called Wegman's about 40 miles from here, wonderful ethnic sections, good natural foods section too. I'm sure they'll have it. We plan on making a trip up there very soon in any case. We have two supermarkets in town, but they're both pretty basic. Quite basic. Thanks anyway, Genie. I'm sure I can find it though. We generally go to the one in Corning, in New York State - about 40 miles from us. The nearest one in PA is down in Williamsport, about 60 miles from us. However, there's a great natural foods store in Williamsport too, so we do go down there sometimes. Right now, it's either rained or snowed for three solid weeks: ugh. I'd love to get up to Corning to the Wegmans, but we haven't even been able to do garden clean-up and a bunch of other outside chores yet - it's just rained or snowed ALL THE TIME for 3 weeks. The snow hasn't stuck, just melted when it hit the ground. Maybe we'll get some decent weather soon, either to travel in or get the outdoor chores done. Pat -- Pat Meadows Books, books! Low prices.
