Thanks Jeanne for the urls to 3ABN and the other one. Very good things

there!

Too bad the pumpkin recipes in 3ABN were in PDF format, so one cannot add

them to document files and/or tamper with them (I can't resist tampering

with any recipe, LOL). With PDF, the only thing you can do is print them out

and then copy them ;-( I suppose they did it so that the name of the

copyright owner is always present under the recipe.

Maybe scanning too would make the trick, if one has a good OCR, but all this

could be avoided with plain normal text webpages, wouldn't it?

3ABN...Is that the Evangelical group? If so, I

received a vegan recipe booklet from them that is

WONDERFUL, and it was free;)

Warmly,

Allison

Irene, I used to think this too.

Then I found out about the 'text grabbing tool' in Adobe

Acrobat Reader. I can copy text to other programs using

this tool. So you could copy the recipes to another

program: a word processor or whatever. Maybe....

because....

Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. I believe

the person who creates the PDF file can use an option to

enable or disable this. But you could try it.

When it works, it works in the usual Windows-style: you

highlight the text, then use Control-C to copy it to the

clipboard, then use Control-V to paste it into the other

program.

The 'text grabbing tool' is a button on the menu at the top

of Acrobat Reader. It's an uppercase letter 'T' with a

little box next to it.
