Guest guest
LoL, that shirt is hilarious & I actually laughed when I saw it. About tea, I love it. I was born and bred in Alabama, still here as a matter of fact, so ofcourse I love the traditional sweet tea & personally I prefer it with lemon. I also enjoy hot teas on a regular basis as well. My favorite is Apple Blossom Green tea by the Republic of Tea. I also really love their black vanilla almond. As far as much cheaper teas I like...my grocery store puts Lindsay Gardens teas on sales for two boxes for a dollar..so I always load up on their cherry tea. I also like Bigelow's Earl Grey, french vanilla, & lemon tea--i love sweetening this one with honey. Apparently a huge tea fan, karen Karen, sitting here drinking Speicalteas Sunday Blend right now. It is a loose leaf black tea with real vanilla bean in it. I drink Black tea in the morning and migrate to oolongs and greens in the afternoon and night time. At home I like to brew loose leaf tea, something about the brewing that really relaxes me, along with the actual tea that is. At work I use teabags, it is just much more convenient to do so there. I will have to try that apple blossom green tea next time I am in our local coffee shop, or maybe even order some. I tried their black tea with Mango and that was good. Okay everyone, sorry I wont turn this into a tea forum, but like I said it is a plant, some people even eat or cook with good ol Camellia Sinensis. Guest guest
" Any tea drinkers out there? I love my tea, maybe we can start sharing teas that we like as well, it is a plant " Yes, I like tea too, although I mostly only drink boring old PG Tips. I do like the herbal ones as well though, ginger and chammomile is a fave at the moment Kate - Phillip Schoenfeld Saturday, December 07, 2002 2:02 AM Pesco-vegetarian Well I know I do not pipe up too often here, but let me put in my two cents. About 8 months ago I began eating a mostly vegetarian diet. I have not eaten any beef, pork, or chicken in this time. I have however on a couple occasions eaten fish or shrimp. When someone asks me about my diet, I tell them I follow mostly a vegetarian diet, and explain that I occasionally eat seafood. I then happily explain that I consider myself a Vegaquarian People get a kick out of that! To be totally honest I do not consider myself vegetarian as I have eaten the fish, even the a couple times in 8 months is not very much. I am happy with my diet, but I may quit eating the seafood as well as I usually feel guilty after eating it, as I would not personally catch or kill the fish. On another light note, I got this shirt for Christmas/Hanukkah and I really love it, I thought some of you might like to see it. http://www.arkansasduckhunter.com/lgHCtshirt7.html Have a great weekend. P.S. Any tea drinkers out there? I love my tea, maybe we can start sharing teas that we like as well, it is a plant Drinking some Dragon Pearl Jasmine tea right now that is really good! Guest guest
Hello, I must admit to being more fond of my coffee but I think I will start trying more teas made from the garden next year. This year I tried one with lemon balm and stevia (sweetener) both grown in the back yard and it tasted just fine. Unfortunately I didn't have any chamomille and I would have liked to add that to the whole thing since that is what I originally saw posted somewhere. I have quite a few different types of mint in the back yard, some mugwort, comfrey and no doubt the jasmine will come back in the spring (even though I somewhat unmercifully cut it back this fall. It had sent out way too many suckers over part of the yard.). Wonder if I can mix in wisteria. Must look that up. Just planted some last spring and it is taking a while to get started. If our limited number of frosts don't kill it off over the winter it should be moderately bountiful next year. Have 30 or 40 roses so I'm sure I could do something with rose hips although I have been told that some taste fine and some are rather bitter. Hope to definitely put more herbal things together next year. Have quite a few lavender plants so minimally those should do well in sachets. Just have to figure out how to use things properly and in the right amount. Gary At 03:52 PM 12/7/02 +0000, you wrote: > " Any tea drinkers out there?
