just by extra firm tofu, then cut into cubes and fry in seasoned oil until

it is a golden brown on all sides.

 

you can also freeze it, then squeeze the water out, for more texture.

 

season to taste, actual tofu is more or less tasteless. Like art gallery

I've fried it up in oil before and it was yukky... not kewl like

when someone else makes it. I threw it out, actually. Even the

dogs didn't want it.

I think Gene might be refering to the many flavored oils you can find

in

gourmet sections either in regular grocery stores or healthfood

stores. I don't

know many namebrands, but I have seen flavored oil and I own a bottle

of

hot chili sesame oil currently. Maybe something like that would work.
