That is something I can do. Now, I just need a plan for how to season those little tofu cubes to make them actually taste like something better than wallpaper paste. I know they can because they're even better in tv dinners than I've made them. " Seasoned oil " is a bit vague compared to the help I apparently need with this. Guest guest
Try this - mix 1/4 cup water, 1/4 soy sauce, 1/2 tsp powdered ginger for marinade. (I think this is about it, but feel free to adjust for your taste) Take 1 lb thawed tofu (extra firm), sliced in 4 thick slices. Squeeze the water out and then pour the marinade over it. (even 5 min counts for marinating if you don't plan ahead - like me!) Squeeze the marinade out of the tofu (I usually get about half of it back. If you don't do this it may be really salty) Cut into cubes or whatever you like, fry in sesame oil until golden. This is one of our favorites as an entree or in a sandwich. Maybe you'll like it too, or it will give you an idea you can build on.
