I don't think Burger King, comparatively, will be any knight in shining

armor. I believe money and power drives most of these huge

corporations/businesses to corruption. Some just hide it better than

others, kind of like politicians.

Wendy's has a couple of good salads. Plus they carry bleu cheese, unlike

BK. Micky D's salad in a cup just LOOKS WRONG. The salad bar is always the

best solution. LOL, I remember being at a salad bar one time and this guy

comes in with his family, grabs his plate and states " alright let's get past

all this green stuff and get to the good stuff (cheese, croutons, salad

dressing). " I just cracked up.

Sorry no more ramblings,

But you know, when I was getting my bleu cheese dressing off the

salad bar, it occurred to me that it was sitting awful close to what

was possibly real ham bits... *giggle* I just hate the thought of

someone dribbling the parts of their salad into the bowls.

What kind of vegetarian organizations recommend meat? jeez, I'm glad I no

longer eat or work at mcdonald's. Sadly, it was a somewhat large part of my

diet up until last year. I wouldn't want to give them any of my money.

Reminds me of the flight I was on in November. My husband and I had both

requested vegetarian meals - ovo lacto. When our trays arrived we were

given omelettes and they smelled a bit funny so we asked. Finding that

those pink bits all through it was indeed ham and not veggie ham, we

were told we could 'pick them out' ;=) We stayed hungry.

Yeah, I've already considered those situations inevitable in restaurants

(whether it be cross contamination or ham bits). The buffets and salad bars

have sneeze guards. Perhaps we should come up with a " sloppy guard " for

those that are utensilly challenged. We could all use that every once in a

while, lol.

Peace,

Shawn

Pat, I hope you wrote a letter of complaint to the airline. The way you

were treated was disgraceful and they shouldn't advertise non-meat meals

if they aren't going to provide them. I just hope you werent on a really

long flight.
