Guest guest
Seems hard to believe that it's the middle of the week and month already. Where does the time go anyways. My black and white cat, likes to meet your kitties, Misha, Jupiter Tyrannasarurus Rex and Princess Pufflemuffin. LOLOL And oh I mustn't forget my daughter's cat, Squirt. LOLOL Might as well give up on people who don't understand about people who eat vegetarians Pat (Canada). They never will understand and maybe it will take a bypass before they do understand. Well take care and happy healthy eating. Nighters to you all. JC ===== FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If procrastinators had a club, would they ever have a meeting? Guest guest
Okay, but do we have any members here from outside Canada and the USA? I really believe so. My dh and I spent some 25 years (until the second half of 1999) in Sydney, Australia. There was no shortage of understanding among people about vegetarianism there. Or did we just happen to luck out? ;=) Also, in the UK vegetarianism is widely understood and respected - at least among people we have run into ;=) Any comments? best, pat P.S. Make that a brain bypass which they may already have had, Jeanne. Whoops - that sounded aggressive at some people. Oh well, I can live with that today - as the man said, Nobody's perfect ;=) > Might as well give up on people who don't understand > about people who eat vegetarians Pat (Canada). Guest guest
>>...maybe it will take a bypass before they do understand.<< Don't count on it!! Does anyone remember that James Garner (aka, Rockford and Maverick) had a double or triple bypass a few years back, and he didn't miss a step with his non veggie diet. I've often wondered what factor in a person causes them to becomes aware enough to then seek a healthier more humane diet (as so many celebs have done). Any ideas? Guest guest
Ha! " I've often wondered what factor in a person causes them to becomes aware enough to then seek a healthier more humane diet (as so many celebs have done). Any ideas? " For me it was airplane food. Seriously. I was given a turkey sandwich in which the meat was all pink and gelatinous looking. It was sooo over-processed that the look of it turned my stomach. I thought about all the crud that turkey had to go through in order to one day be a bird, and another day be a pink, perfectly round, shiny piece of meat. I never ate it again. I don't know why an incident like that would change me, but it would simply never occur to (or bother) another. One of life's mysteries.
