Guest guest Posted December 5, 2001 Report Share Posted December 5, 2001 While not willing to put my dog on a veggie diet I would just like to mention-it is VERY good you decided to not put your dog on a veggie diet. This is NOT good for them. Dogs are carnivors and need to have the meat in their diet. The vegetarian foods on the market are made to supplement diets only for dogs who may have food allergies. While humans can thrive being vegetarian, dogs can't and will therefore have a shorter lifespan. I too have spoken extensivley about this and all feel HIGH quality dog foods are much healthier than a veggie diet. I prefer Morningstar Farms Grillers Original, for a burger sub, while my son prefers the Boca Vegan, for instance. You surely needn't spend much to try each, simply rotate through one box a week.
