Guest guest
Yup it's me. FINALLY. I'm still around kicking. No one in particular tho. LOL I like this group P_T. Thanks so much for inviting me here. That is wonderful that you put the gluten steaks in the recipe file section. Yes it does make a bunch but hey that what makes it so neat cause you can freeze it and always use some for another day, P_T. I hope others will like gluten steaks as well. The only thing I'm wondering cause hubby keeps bringing it up, is how healthy is gluten flour and what is it made of. HEY WELCOME ABOARD Angela and Carlos and Lisa. You'll just love it here. This is a great group. I'm Jeanne alias JC and been a veggie all my life. I'm ?? years young ROFL Enjoy it here, I know I sure have. If you all are interested here is a website that you might like to look into. I'm not sure which addy will work so I'm posting both of them for you. So here it is. http://www.madcowboy.com or http://madcowboy.com Either one might work, just can't remember which one. My cat actually likes the Yves Turkey slices. In fact he meows for it whenever he sees someone else eating it. Silly little kitty. He likes it better then the real turkey. Doesn't that beat all. I hope you're still alive Chana and that the Tofu didn't make you sick. I do believe that cats can be vegetarians Karen. I am a Christian and I believe that when God created cats they did no killing but ate grass like a cow. It was after the fall of man and the flood that cats started killing other animals to eat. That's my opinion. My cat does eat dry cat food but even that one has to be careful so that the people who are making these dry cat foods aren't using other cats and grinding them up and call it cat food. Cause that is what is happening. We can make our own animals into cannibals. Again my own 2 cents worth. That is what I have Laura, is digest. It is a lot easier for me and it doesn't use up so much space in my emails. Well nighters everyone. DO take care and keep smiling and laughing. I sure enjoy the suggestions and recipes in here. Till next time. JC ===== FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If procrastinators had a club, would they ever have a meeting? It might conceivably be considered 'unhealthy' in that it's low-fiber, but it seems innocuous enough otherwise. You can make your own gluten steaks starting off with regular whole-wheat flour, I am told, but it's more work. Cats would be a *very* poor animal to use for meat: too small, too ornery, too hard to handle. Note that the animals used for meat tend to be large, very easily tamed herd animals (or birds easy to grow in captivity.) If you ever saw that MARVELOUS superbowl commercial called 'Herding Cats', you'd know what I mean. Just not practical at all. Guest guest
I agree with Pat. Cats have been eaten by people but I wouldn't think they would be slaughtered by the thousands to make kitty chow. A German friend told me about roof rabbits being a common thing to eat during and after WWII. Roof rabbits are cats. Bon Appetit. Guest guest
I can barely keep one of the boys in the house unless there's a foot of snow... good thing he's " all fixed up " ! Amusing anecdote: My four-year-old named the kitten we rescued Princess Pufflemuffin-- then found out she was a he! So she went to her dad's house and somehow came home with the information that, if we get him " fixed, " he won't really be a boy anymore. Logical conclusion: Let's get all the cats and my brother " fixed " so they can all be girls! -dawn , Pat Meadows <pat@m...> wrote: > On Sun, 19 Jan 2003 06:36:04 -0500 (EST), you wrote: > > > My > >cat does eat dry cat food but even that one has to be > >careful so that the people who are making these dry > >cat foods aren't using other cats and grinding them up > >and call it cat food.
