Cannellini vs great northern

Hi Jane ( & everyone else ofcourse)

Thx for catching that, Pat. I did a google search and have now read

way more about beans than I'd care to! Apparently, cannellini beans =

white kidney beans, but cannellini are not the same as great northern

whites. They are recommended as good substitutes and may be why I was

misinformed on such. They also look way too similar. Here's a url w/

bean pics and mini-descriptions but beware there are a few on this

page I'm dying to try b/c they just look so pretty. (like the calypso

bean, very cool looking)

I don't keep beans in glass jars on an open shelf - light

isn't good for dried foods - but it sure is pretty when

people do that. Especially a whole bunch of different

beans.

 

I love beans. I've never had Anasazi beans, or many of the

others. Someday I'll order them online, just to see what

they look like and find out how they taste.
